Today we will be updating Google Chrome on all DA computers. We have seen several issues where Google Chrome is consuming all of the CPU time bringing the laptop to a crawl. There have been a number of issues documenting this. The problem appears to be related to Chrome 66 and High Sierra.
It seems that this problem has been addressed in the latest version of Google Chrome.
Before Chrome is updated it will be forced to close, but it will remember all the tabs you had open previously.
* Helpful Tip: For all web browsers, keep the amount of open tabs to a very minimum. Each open tab consumes memory space which means more open tabs will slow down the overall speed of your computer. Make use of bookmarks to keep sites you wish to visit frequently or at another time. Do not use left open tabs as a way to track anything that “I’ll look at later”…
